| 회사소개 | SHABO Winery is a family business of the Iukuridze family based on more than 200 years of winemaking traditions. History of the company dates back to 1822, when Swiss winemakers, traveled 2 500 kilometers, to found the Shabo wine village on the banks of the Dniester Estuary. SHABO had long path from the oldest Ukrainian winery in the village of Shabo to one of the most technologically advanced enterprises in Ukraine. Today, SHABO comprises out of three houses: SHABO Wine House, SHABO Sparkling Wine House and SHABO Brandy House. SHABO wines are trailblazers for Ukrainian terroir around the world. The first Ukrainian winery to receive Gold and Platinum Medals from Decanter Wine Awards, not to mention more than 600 top awards from most prestigious international competitions, such as IWC, Mundus Vini, Villa d’Este Wine Symposium, Berliner Wein Trophy and others. First Ukrainian still wine to be listed in Michelin starred restaurants. The only winery to represent Ukraine in Bordeaux Wine Museum La Cité du Vin. We believe that Ukrainians have the right to be proud of the wine of their country. The company’s goal is to ensure this right. |

| 제품설명 | SHABO vineyards are located in the southwestern part of Ukraine, 70 km from the city of Odesa between the Black Sea and the Dniester estuary. The soil composition is predominantly loamy soil of clay, limestone, black soil and sand. The vineyards are located on the Wine Latitude of 46’6. SHABO grows more than 20 grape varieties. Most of the seedlings were brought from the best nurseries in France, Italy and Georgia. The main varieties include: Chardonnay, Rkatsiteli, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Saperavi, etc. The hallmark of the SHABO terroir is a unique indigenous white grape variety – Telti-Kuruk. The only place in the world where own root stock vine of this variety exists, in is Shabo. It is considered not only the hallmark of our terroir, but also of Ukraine. SHABO has became the first and only winery in Ukraine to receive the Appellation of Controlled Origin (AOC) status, as well Protected Geographical Indications (PGO) and Protected Designations of Origins (PDO).High end winemaking equipment was put in place to achieve the best results. Equipment from grape reception and sorting (Bucher Vaslin), French oak vats with temperature control for fermentation (Taransaud), barrel from Ann Selection (Burgundy) and Saury (Bordeaux) cooperages, to name a few. The SHABO House of Sparkling Wines produces sparkling wines using both methods: the Charmat (tank) method and the classic technology of champagnisation in a bottle. |
